DRYER · PRACTICAL APPLIANCE GUIDE

Dryer runs, but clothes stay damp?

Heating and airflow need to work together.

01 · BEFORE BOOKING

A simple check.

Clean the lint screen before each load and confirm that a heated cycle is selected. Avoid overloading and check whether laundry leaves the washer unusually wet.

02 · UNDERSTAND THE SYMPTOM

What it could mean.

Long drying times can involve a restricted exhaust path or a heating fault. A drum that turns does not prove that the heating system works.

03 · THE NEXT STEP

When diagnosis helps.

I check heating, temperature control and airflow to separate an appliance repair from a dryer vent issue. Replacing a heater alone will not resolve a blocked vent.

This is general guidance, not a diagnosis of your appliance. Follow the owner’s manual for your exact model. Internal electrical, gas and refrigerant work belongs with a qualified professional.
