Refrigerator warm, freezer still cold?

Start with airflow before assuming the compressor has failed.

01 · BEFORE BOOKING

A simple check.

Keep packages away from interior air vents and check that both doors close completely. Note whether the freezer is also warming up.

02 · UNDERSTAND THE SYMPTOM

What it could mean.

A warm fresh-food compartment can point to restricted airflow, an evaporator fan or a defrost problem. If both sections warm up, the diagnosis changes.

03 · THE NEXT STEP

When diagnosis helps.

I compare temperatures and inspect fans, frost patterns and controls. Compressor or sealed-system work is considered only after testing supports it.

This is general guidance, not a diagnosis of your appliance. Follow the owner’s manual for your exact model. Internal electrical, gas and refrigerant work belongs with a qualified professional.
