DIAGNOSIS EXPLAINED
Cooktop problems:
what to check.
Two common situations, the possible causes, and how a repair decision is made.
Illustrative scenarios, not completed customer jobs or testimonials. The exact diagnosis depends on your appliance and an inspection.

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE 01
Induction zone does not detect a pan
The complaint: A zone flashes an error while the other zones work.
What the diagnosis separates: Compatible cookware and placement are checked before investigating the zone’s electronics and model-specific error code.
A possible next step: If cookware is compatible and the problem persists, component diagnosis is needed. Replacing a control board without testing is not the first step.
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE 02
Electric zone overheats
The complaint: A heating zone does not respond normally to a lower setting.
What the diagnosis separates: The control and temperature-regulating components are checked for that cooktop design. A radiant zone cycling on and off can be normal; uncontrolled heating is different.
A possible next step: Stop using a zone that cannot be controlled. A confirmed switching or control fault needs repair before normal use resumes.
What to send Leo.
A model-label photo, the error code if shown, when the issue started, and whether it happens every cycle. Do not remove electrical covers or dismantle the appliance to collect this information.
