DIAGNOSIS EXPLAINED
Oven problems:
what to check.
Two common situations, the possible causes, and how a repair decision is made.
Illustrative scenarios, not completed customer jobs or testimonials. The exact diagnosis depends on your appliance and an inspection.

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE 01
Broil works but bake does not
The complaint: An electric oven broils, but the bake cycle cannot reach the selected temperature.
What the diagnosis separates: The bake element, wiring, sensor and controls are checked using the model’s specifications. The working broiler does not rule out a separate bake-circuit fault.
A possible next step: A confirmed damaged bake element may be replaced, followed by a temperature check. Avoid touching a damaged element or testing live wiring yourself.
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE 02
Food repeatedly cooks unevenly
The complaint: Cooking results vary even with the same rack position and recipe.
What the diagnosis separates: The technician considers preheat behavior, sensor readings, heating operation and convection airflow where fitted. A single household thermometer reading may not tell the whole story.
A possible next step: Calibration may help only when the controls and heating system are functioning correctly. A failed sensor or heating component requires its own repair.
What to send Leo.
A model-label photo, the error code if shown, when the issue started, and whether it happens every cycle. Do not remove electrical covers or dismantle the appliance to collect this information.
